PM Ujjwala Yojana Launched in Bihar – 50 Lakh LPG Connections to be Provided for BPL families

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana was launched in Patna, Bihar on June 27th , 2016 with the release of 100 LPG connections to women from BPL households. Petroleum Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan spoke about LPG expansion in the State, at the launch and informed about providing LPG connections to 50 Lakh women from BPL households and another 10 Lakh to affluent households in the next 3 yrs. Bihar is projected to be the largest beneficiary of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.

The event was graced by Minister of Food and Public Distribution Shri Ram Vilas Paswan, Minister of Farmers & Agriculture Welfare, Shri Radha Mohan Singh, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Minister of State (Independent Charge) Petroleum & Natural Gas Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Shri Ram Kripal Yadav, Minister of State Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge) & Parliamentary Affairs, Shri Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Minister of State, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Shri Giriraj Singh, Minister of State for Human Resource & Development, Shri Giriraj Singh, Minister For Food and Consumer Protection, Bihar, Shri Madan Sahni , Former Chief Minister of Bihar , Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, along with Shri Sushil Kumar Modi , Shri Prem Kumar, Shri Nand Kishore Yadav , Dr. C.P. Thakur, and many Members of the Parliament.
