Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme(PMSS) 2017-18 for Central Armed Police Forces & Assam Rifles

Eligible and Interested Candidates can apply for Prime Minister Scholarship For Central Armed Police Forces 2017-18. Online Registrations for PMSS CAPF starts at National Scholarship portal (NSP) Students who have qualified 10+2 examinations with 60% marks and pursuing higher courses can apply for PM Scholarship 2017-18 online.

Wards/Widows of deceased, retired and serving CAPF personnel can apply for the scholarship scheme. Selected applicants received up to Rs.2250 per month. Eligibility criteria, fresh application and renewal process, duration of scholarship is given here. Check out the complete information here

PM Scholarship For CAPF 2017-18 Apply Online

  • Visit National Scholarship portal at
  • Under the Central scheme tab go to WARB, Ministry of Home Affairs section
  • Now click on Apply button
  • If you are already registered then you can login with Application ID and Password
  • If you apply for fresh application then click on new user and register
  • Check how to register and apply for scholarship at NSP
  • Once you get registered, login with at NSP and fill the application form
  • Select the PMSS Central Armed Police Forces Scholarship 2017-18 and apply
  • Finally submit the application and print the form   

Highlights of WARB PMSS Scholarship 2017-18

  • The Scholarship is awarded annually
  • Total 2000 students are selected for Prime Minister Scholarship for CAPF equally among boys and girls
  • Only wards of CAPF and AR (Assam Rifles) are eligible to apply
  • Scholarship is given for higher courses after 10+2
  • Maximum duration of Scholarship is 5 years or up to completion of course

CAPF PM Scholarship 2017 Eligibility

  • Candidates should have qualified 10+2 Examination with 60% marks to fulfill minimum entry qualification (MEQ)
  • He/she should be pursuing higher education and presently studying in college/institution
  • Wards/widows of CAPF personnel
  • Applicants should have Aadhaar Card linked with their bank account
  • Duration and Amount of Scholarship
  • a) Duration – The total duration of this scholarship depends on the course which a candidate will pursue. The respective regulatory authority will give the approval. Moreover, the maximum duration can be up to 5 years.
    b) Amount of Scholarship – The amount of scholarship is as follows:-




Rs 2250 p.m (Rs 27000 p.a)


Rs 2000 p.m (Rs 24000 p.a)

·         Number of Scholarships

  • — The total number of scholarships are 2000 under PMSS.
    — Accordingly, these scholarship will get distributed equally between boys and girls. So, boys will get 1000 scholarships and girls will also get 1000 scholarships.
  • Documents Required to apply for Scholarship

    • Service Certificate by H.O.O
    • Mark Sheet of academic courses
    • PPO/Discharge Certificate/Book
    • Bank Account Pass book
    • Aadhaar Card
    • Declaration from institute in which currently studying
