SWAYAM Portal is an initiative of central government to digitalis the education system and to reach at remote areas. This portal provides free online courses and 32 Swayam DTH Channels across the nation. It has has been launched in order to cover all the students who are untouched from education.

The main motive of the central government behind launching this scheme is to spread and improve the quality of education across the country. The teachers of the nation can register themselves on this portal for the development of knowledge regarding any particular subject. The main motto of the ministry is aimed is to provide high-quality e-content to all colleges and universities and student free of cost through this web portal.

SWAYAM platform has been developed by MHRD and AICTE with the help of Microsoft to provide hosting of about 2000 courses and 80000 hours of learning in different streams including engineering, law, post-graduate and under-graduate courses and some other professional courses.

 

How to Register for SWAYAM Portal

Step 1: Visit https://swayam.gov.in
Step 2: Click “REGISTER”
Step 3: Click the Sign up now link below the login form.
Step 4: Enter all the information in the form and submit the form by clicking on “CREATE” button

Step 5: Registration is completed. Applicants can now log in and start learning.

Student applicants can access and learn the desired courses through this portal. SWAYAM Portal provides the name of all the courses and the name of professors and their experiences. Here is the list of Swayam courses, applicants can download the list by clicking the link mentioned below –

A dashboard is provided in the Swayam Portal from where learners can update their information and enroll in the free online courses.

The courses on SWAYAM are produced and delivered by NPTEL for engineering, UGC for post-graduation education, CEC for undergraduate education, NCERT & NIOS for school education, IGNOU for out of the school students and IIMB for management studies.
