20 Atal Ashraya Yojana Housing Schemes in MP

20 Atal Ashray Yojana housing scheme is one of the many housing schemes that fall under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana The scheme is introduced in Madhya Pradesh for the people who live under economically weak society and lower income groups. This scheme is similar to PMAY and is having the loan subsidy of 6.5% on each  loan like PMAY. The Madhya Pradesh government has been sanctioned total 20 housing schemes under this project.

BHOPAL: Cabinet committee on implementation of Atal Ashray Yojana has sanctioned 20 housing schemes of Madhya Pradesh Housing and Infrastructure Board. These include construction of 3395 independent houses and 1372 flats for weaker and low income groups in 18 districts. Of these, 2838 would be E.W.S. and 1929 L.I.G. houses.
Water resources, finance, commercial taxes, economics, planning and statistics minister Jayant Malaiya, revenue & rehabilitation minister Rampal singh and minister of State for urban development and environment Lal Singh Arya accorded this sanction after detailed review of proposals. Principal Secretary Urban Development and Environment Malay Shrivastava and Board's Commissioner Neetesh Vyas also attended the meeting.
Sanctioned housing schemes include Divya Nagar, Sehore, Son Chirayya Nagar, Karera (district Shivpuri), Atal Parisar and Bhoj Nagar, Bhopal, Trimurti Nagar, Susner (district Agar), Kosmi Nagar, Betul, Mahavir Nagar, Vidisha, Durgawatipuam, Tendukhera, (district Damoh), Maa Jalpa Nagar, Biaora (district Rajgarh), Shiv Nagar Colony, Kasrawad (district Khargone), Narmada Parisar, Dindori, Lavkush Nagar, Mungawali (district Ashok Nagar), Avanti Nagar, Guna, Sun City, Singrauli, Rajeshwari Dham, Datia, Ramraja Nagar, Tikamgarh, Satpura Parisar and Mowgli Parisar, Seoni, Raj Nagar, Damoh and Basant Vihar, Satna.


On the basis of city and location, the committee has prescribed Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 8 lakh as the price of EWS houses and Rs. 11 lakh to Rs. 14 lakh for LIG houses. All housing premises will have concrete roads, drinking water arrangements, sewage system, electricity, park, convenient shopping area and other basic amenities. All houses will be sold on rates fixed by the cabinet committee.



Under Atal Ashray Yojana, benefit of 6.5 percent loan subsidy would be given on taking loans by beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana-2015. Families with upto Rs. 3 lakh annual income will be eligible for E.W.S. houses and upto Rs. 6 lakh per annum for L.I.G. Houses. Only self-attested income certificates will be acceptable.

MP Government has sanctioned 20 housing schemes under the Atal Ashraya Yojana to be implemented by the Madhya Pradesh Housing and Infrastructure Board in 2016. These housing schemes will be implemented under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. A benefit of 6.5 percent loan subsidy would be given on taking loans by beneficiaries under the scheme.

Under the all housing schemes combined, the board will construct 3395 independent houses and 1372 flats for weaker and low income groups in 18 districts. Of these, 2838 would be EWS and 1929 LIG houses.

The cost of EWS housing units under the scheme will be between Rs. 5 Lakh to Rs. 8 Lakh while the LIG homes will be priced between Rs. 11 Lakh to 14 lakh.

The housing projected will be equipped with all the basic residential amenities including concrete roads, drinking water arrangements, sewage system, electricity, park, convenient shopping area.

  • How to apply?

The beneficiary needs to fill up the application form for this scheme. One will easily get the online application in the official website of PMAY. The application form needs to fill up with some basic details such as name, address, contact numbers, annual income, age and such.

Along with the application form there are some other documents that need to be submitted. The documents include Aadhaar Card or other ID proof, pay slip, plan of the house / flat and other documents.

  • Who can apply?

An Indian citizen who falls under EWS and LIG class can apply for the houses or flats. People who have annual income of 1 lakh can apply for 1 BHK flats and people who have annual income of Rs. 1 lakh to 2 lakh can apply for the 2 BHK flats.

  • Allotment of the houses

The houses will be allotted to the people on the lottery basis. An applicant can apply for their desired flats / private houses via online application form. After the lottery, whoever will be selected can get the loan facility to build their own houses.

  • The cost of the houses

The cost of these houses is ranging from 5lakhs to 14lakhs. Houses that are available for EWS people are ranging from 5 lakhs to 8 lakhs. On the other, the allotted houses for the LIG people range from 11 lakhs to 14 lakhs.
