About the Initiative

Launched in 2019, the National Startup Awards is a flagship recognition program by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). The focus? To honor startups that combine profit with purpose — building impactful products, delivering community solutions, and driving economic growth.

What Makes This Award Special?

Winning startups are not just recognized—they’re elevated. Selected participants receive:

  • A ₹10 lakh cash prize per category

Who Can Apply?

Startups eager to apply must fulfill the following conditions:

  • Must be recognized by DPIIT

  • Registered with BHASKAR (Bharat Startup Knowledge Access Registry)

  • Operational for not more than 10 years

  • Holding relevant trade registrations like GST, CE, MSME, FSSAI, etc.

  • Should not have defaulted financially in the last three years

  • Eligible to apply for up to two categories

Documentation Checklist

Applicants must prepare and upload the following:

  • DPIIT recognition certificate

  • Founder’s Aadhaar and PAN

  • GST registration and trade-specific licenses

  • BHASKAR ID proof

  • Pitch deck (maximum 10 slides)

  • Startup introductory video (max 120 seconds)

  • 3-year financial performance summary

  • Valid contact details: mobile number and email

  3. Ensure you're registered on BHASKAR portal

  4. Log in and access the online application form

  5. Select up to two award categories

Evaluation & Selection Process

After applications are received:

  • A panel of experts verifies submissions

  • Shortlisted startups will pitch their ideas to a jury

  Introduction of Scheme The Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Scheme was launched by the Government of Maharashtra in the year  2023. The government's main aim behind launching this scheme is to support small and marginal farmers of the State by providing them additional financial support. Earlier, Farmers are receiving Rs. 6,000/- per year under the Central Government's PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme. With this scheme, Farmers of Maharashtra will now receive yearly financial assistance of Rs. 12,000/-. Maharashtra Government will disburse this amount in 3 equal installments directly in the aadhaar-linked bank account of farmers. Rs. 2,000/- as the first installment will be received by farmers from April to July. Rs. 2,000/- as the second installment will be received by farmers from August to November. Andhra Pradesh Nirudyoga Bruthi Scheme

   Introduction of Scheme Nirudyoga Bruthi Scheme was in operation back then before 2019. But Telugu Desam Party lost the election in the year 2019 and this scheme was stopped. In the year 2024, TDP again won the assembly election of Andhra Pradesh. In their manifesto, they promise to launch  Nirudyoga Bruthi Scheme  again in Andhra Pradesh. Now this scheme will going to be launched in the State very soon. Monthly Financial Assistance of Rs. 3,000/- per month will be provided to unemployed youths of Andhra Pradesh.
