SHe Box Portal

Report Workplace Harassment Online with Ease: Know About the SHe-Box Portal

Launched to Empower Working Women

On August 29, 2024, the Government of India introduced a powerful tool to protect women employees from workplace harassment. The Ministry of Women and Child Development unveiled SHe-Box – an online complaint platform that enables women to raise their voices against any form of sexual misconduct at work.

What Does SHe-Box Mean?

SHe-Box is short for Sexual Harassment Electronic Box. It is an integrated complaint management system developed to address cases of sexual harassment faced by women in both public and private sectors.

This initiative strengthens the legal framework established by the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, often called the POSH Act. The Act mandates the formation of Internal Committees at workplaces, but SHe-Box goes a step further by offering an accessible, centralized online redressal platform.
